Join Joan Ranquet for this 16 day trip of a lifetime! Explore and meditate in ancient temples. Go on safari with chances to see the elusive Bengal Tiger. And immerse yourself in the kaleidoscope that is India.

Arrive in Delhi, once the capital of kingdoms and empires, now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land.

Fly to Aurangabad to explore the Ellora, Aurangabad and Ajanta caves, ancient and magnificent rock-hewn cave temples. And then head off to explore Tadoba – Andhari Tiger Reserve, Katni - Bandhavgarh National Park and Ranthambore National Park – all prime places to see the Bengal Tiger.

End your trip with a chance to visit Fort Agra and the magnificent Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his wife Mumtaz Mahal and designed by Persian architect Ustad, the Taj Mahal’s massive white marble structure - with every square inch covered with breathtakingly fine inlay work - is in striking contrast to the red sandstone all around. So delicate it appears to float above the ground rather than sit.
